Reminiscent of the tribal yua, from the Sepik river area, which is carved from seashells and used as a currency, for centuries, this disk is made in untreated marble, respecting it's natural shape and texture. The perfect circle is a traditional expression of Asian spirituality and culture since prehistory, mostly represented in the "Bi" disks in all types of materials.

It rests freely on a bespoke metal stand, for a total height of 9.75 inches. The disk itself measures 5.5 inches in diameter, approximately 1/2 inch thick. The stand base measures 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep. See less
