Katrina Nampijinpa Brown was born on 28 March 1949 in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km northwest of Alice Springs in Australia.
"Seed Dreaming" refers to significant Indigenous Australian narratives (Jukurrpa) and artworks, particularly from the Warlpiri people, that illustrate ancestral journeys of gathering, preparing, and utilizing native seeds.
This eye-catching seed dreaming piece is acrylic on canvas and is brightly multicolored and covered in waves of white, yellow, orange and blue dots (seeds). The artwork is in good condition - however the canvas needs to be re-stretched. There is also some wear on the corners. Please see photos.
Your purchase will support The Green Chair Project, a home-furnishing nonprofit organization that supports families in need and in crisis.
