The legs are joined by an X stretcher mounted by a gorgeous, chunky carved urn shaped finial. The carving on this piece is exceptional -- finely detailed and highly representative of the Louis XVI neoclassical era. Overall, the console is sturdy and in very good to excellent condition, with the notation that the left front leg is slightly bowed, a characteristic consistent with its age. See less
