This sweet trio features beautifully modeled forms with textured feather detailing and warm, earthy brown and cream glazes typical of Japanese export ceramics from the 1950s–1960s.

The larger mother quail retains a partially intact original paper label on the underside reading “Made in Japan,” though the label is torn, consistent with age and use. All three figures display a glossy glaze and gentle, organic sculptural lines that make them ideal for shelf styling, tabletop vignettes, or a collected mid-century display.

A wonderful example of vintage Japanese animal ceramics and a highly collectible set when found complete as a family.
