Lovely condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have left the natural patina on the brass body and base, it could be polished out if you prefer, but we are leaving that up to the buyer. We think the lamp shade is charming, but it is not new and has a couple of creases so if you prefer, we can ship the lamp without the shade. It has a new 3-way socket, and the wiring is good. Bold, Brass, and BEAUTIFUL! This stunning mid-century modern or Scandinavian style brass table lamp is comprised of brass tubes, a painted wooden base, and an off-white lamp shade. The body of the lamp has a slender straight brass tube shaft in the center and is surrounded by two lower bent brass tubes in the shape of horseshoes or arches and two upper arched brass tubes running through them in the shape of two letter U’s. They twist through each other in the center of the lamp like crochet threading! It’s striking! The bottom tubes connect to a brass plate which attaches to the painted wooden base and the top tubes mirror the bottom tubes on a floating brass plate under the socket. Gorgeous!! This fabulous brass beauty would be wonderful on a sofa table in your contemporary or mid-century modern sitting room or on a console table in your industrial loft.
