Rough Cut Amethyst Geode Tower
It is said amongst ancient Greeks that Dionysus created Amethyst. He was drawn to a girl and her name was Amethyst but she kept refusing his love. In madness, he tried to kill her, but the goddess Artemis changed her to a pure quartz statue. Dionysus realized what had happened and shed many tears in remorse. In weeping so he spilled his wine and turned the quartz to purple. Thus the purple coloring of amethyst and it is said to guard from drunkenness and excessive thoughts of desire.
