This refined pair of bookcases dates to the 1970s and reflects the period’s emphasis on clean architectural lines and reflective materials. Each piece is constructed with a cylindrical chrome-plated steel frame and fitted with glass shelves, creating a light, open structure with a strong modern presence.
The transparent shelves appear to float within the frame, allowing the chrome structure to remain visually dominant while providing practical display space for books or objects. Each shelf stacks on one another for ease of transport.
The chrome shows wear consistent with age and use, contributing to the authenticity and character of the pieces, while the glass shelves are in very good condition. Designer and manufacturer are currently unknown.
