Whimsical life-sized solid pine hinged human form sculpture.
Late 1970s hinged connections, fully adjustable human figure sculpture. This can stand, sit, kneel, etc. Wonderfully worn with one older split repair.
Fully extended dimensions:
18.25"W (at shoulders) x 11.5"D (at feet) x 51.58"H
Don Ellefson popularized these wood hinged figures, in a variety of sizes. They remain a truly smile-inducing aspect of interiors, and are often a playful element that designers place into projects.
This sculptural piece, when mixed with more serious designs, balances the tone with humor and suggests that a space (and those who live in that space) is maybe less serious than one had originally assumed.
