This caparisoned elephant is finely formed, enameled and gilded- features lotus flower and tendril patterns with Famille verte style mid-sections, surmounted by Gu-form candle or joss stick holder. Striking dimensional details with stunning colors- turquoise, pink, teal, orange, blue, with some gold and black touches. Impressed mark on underside- two embossed marks (both a '2'). Bottom foot has an inventory number in wax pencil that could be removed. In excellent condition. Measures 8.5 wide x 10.5 high x 5 deep. Flared top opening measures 2.5 across (it has a gold rim and in some spots the gold is slightly worn but this is barely noticeable). Can be used with a candle or joss stick. See less
