The work is accompanied by a photo certificate by scholar Angelo Dragone, who also notes that it was published in his catalogue 'Lorenzo Delleani, l'opera e il suo tempo', in vol. II, p. 105, number 21. Coming from a private collection in Turin, the work was presented at the Sant'Agostino auction in Turin (with a starting price of €5,000). Delleani, who initially painted mainly historical subjects, gradually moved towards plein air landscape painting, especially of his native Piedmont valleys. He also painted various figures, especially popular ones, while his nudes are rarer, although scenes of bathers at the lake or on the beach are recurrent, with several nude female figures, including the figure presented here. The work is presented in a period frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
