Decorative bed frame with a tall, shaped headboard and a lower footboard with turned posts. The headboard features a scrolling outline with gilt-highlighted moulding and a central cartouche decorated with a floral bouquet motif. The footboard is simpler in form, with a painted rail and turned uprights.
The frame appears to be made of wood with an opaque cream painted finish and gilt-toned accents. The floral decoration appears to be painted on a recessed panel. The reverse side shows a contrasting red-brown finish, consistent with production and finishing typical of painted decorative furniture.
