Elegantly crafted with an engine-turned pattern and grecian key design along the edge of the larger box, while the smaller box features a floral decorative border. Both lids are gold inlaid with a striped effect, and gilt interior, inside engraved with initials eu.

hallmarked german silver (935 grade), maker hm, also english import marks for sheffield, year 1922 (e).
