Woven basket/dish; round shape, raised woven base, container made with coils (raised coiled rings), and wide openwork woven rim.
In white glazed ceramic with gilt braiding (the gilding is slightly faded, giving it a metallic patina). Designed by Emile Tessier (1887-1971), manufactured in Malicorne (signed and marked on the underside, reference model). Beautiful quality, very heavy ceramic!
In very good condition, a tiny hairline crack in the glaze on the rim and some fading of the gilding in places (see photos). This piece has an attribution mark,
I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
