A refined pair of French Empire Revival curtain tiebacks, finely cast in gilt bronze and richly detailed with classical motifs. Elegant, sculptural, and highly decorative, they bring an authentic historic accent to both traditional and eclectic interiors. This pair of French Empire Revival curtain tiebacks dates to the late 19th century and is executed in finely cast gilt bronze. Each tieback features a gracefully curved form with classical Empire ornamentation, including stylized foliage, characteristic of the period’s neoclassical vocabulary. The surfaces retain their original gilding, featuring a warm, mellow tone enhanced by a natural patina that has developed over time.
