This glazed earthenware plate presents a stylized male face, rendered with great graphic freedom: a direct gaze, an elongated nose, contrasting touches of color on a crackled white background, and a blue border emphasizing the composition. An immediately recognizable work, blending spontaneity of gesture with expressive power. Dated 1963, this piece is part of the “Faces” series and bears the marks of authenticity on the reverse: “Picasso Edition – Madoura,” as well as the handwritten number 7/150, attesting to a limited and sought-after edition.
