Vintage Black Wood Framed Sketch of a rolled up snake, from the Book Peinture et Dessins de Paul Jouve.
Dated circa 1930. Not an original Paul Jouve drawing.
Sketch Size: 7.5 x 5.25 inches.
Jouve visited zoos all over the world, observing lions, tigers, and panthers. His stroke, naturalist at first, will evolve towards the stylization that fits perfectly in the Art Deco aesthetic.
