Standing at 7 inches tall, this jar is so pretty with its detailed artistry; featuring colorful birds amidst delicate floral and foliage motifs. The rich color palette, a hallmark of Kutani porcelain, includes shades of red, green, teal, yellow, and blue, with gold accents.
For a jar of its size, it outshines some of the larger pieces in my collection.

Japanese porcelain covered jar. It features a rare double-lid construction, with a fitted inner cover beneath the domed outer lid—a design more often found in tea caddies than export ginger jars.
