The scrolling frame with downswept arms and tapering legs, later repainted white with traces of original gilding, features vasiform backs with oil paintings depicting Middle Eastern figures—one playing an oud (lute), the other seated smoking a chibouk (long Turkish pipe)—within architectural interiors, executed in the Orientalist taste. Upholstered in greige fabric; suitable for formal parlor, library, or gallery interiors.
