Early 20th century German expressionist-style oil painting on masonite board depicting figures in a street scene, signed by artist "B. Hochman" near bottom right corner. This painting portrays the anxieties and alienation of modern urban life in Germany between 1900-1940. Painting is set in an extremely aged wood frame with burlap lined inner border.
