The Dresden fork features a floral and scroll design. It measures 5 3/8 inches long and 1 3/8 inch wide at the base of the tines. This style of fork undoubtedly had some specific serving purpose as the Victorians loved to have all kinds of different silverware, but this short five-tine fork type is not a common one. It appears to be similar to a sardine fork, but the Whiting sardine fork, although five-tined, has sharper tapered points on the tines. Great condition with light wear commensurate with its age. Wonderful little piece of antique silverware. See less
