Italian marble side table with a finely executed pietra dura inlaid mosaic square top featuring scrolling foliate motifs in contrasting marbles, framed by a warm variegated marble border. The top rests on a substantial architectural pedestal base clad in marble, accented with gilt scroll mounts showing natural age-appropriate patina.
The form and detailing reflect Italian Neoclassical Revival and Roman Revival influences. The scale is practical and versatile, suitable as an accent, center, or pedestal table in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Circa 80's.
