LOT of 11 antique or vintage biscuit/cookie/shortbread/candy/ginger/coffee/tea TINS!
One way to develop unique decor is through collections.
Here's a great start to one.
I am loathe to sell these, such a fun collection. However, I have a mid-century home and these don't quite fit in. From my grandmother's estate, purchased in the late 60s/70s. I recall her telling me she purchased many at the Antique Guild in Venice, Los Angeles where they had enormous baskets full of tins from Europe.
Several of the tins have manufacturers labels and info as listed below:
Huntley & Palmers Biscuit Manufacturers - Reading & London, England
New York World's Fair 1939 - Made in Holland
Walkers pure butter shortbread fingers - Product of Scotland
Paterson shortbread fingers - Product of Scotland
Macfarlane, Lang & Co. Biscuit Manufacturers to the Queen - Glasgow & London
Amoycan Specialities Crystalized Dried Stem Ginger, Hong Kong
Douwe Egberts 1753 Echte Friesche Heeren-Baai (Dutch coffee I believe)
The tin at "3:00" with the boats and fisherman is also Dutch, 1957.
The dark rectangular tin with a scene in oval is Dutch as well, Douwe Egberts, 1955.
