This classic Kodak Flash Six-20 Brownie is a quintessential piece of mid-century Americana, produced by Eastman Kodak between 1940 and 1946. Moving away from the simple cardboard boxes of the earlier era, this model features a durable metal body with a stylish black "morocco grain" imitation leather covering and an integrated Art Deco-inspired viewfinder. The Flash Six-20 was a significant milestone in amateur photography as it was one of the first Brownie models designed with built-in synchronization for a flash bulb attachment (the two brass pins on the front). This innovation allowed everyday families to move photography indoors, capturing birthdays and holidays without relying solely on natural daylight.
Designed to use 620 roll film, the camera features a high-quality (for its class) Meniscus lens with two focus settings: "5 to 10 feet" and "Beyond 10 feet." This specific unit displays a wonderful vintage patina and includes the internal film carrier, making it a fantastic display piece for a bookshelf, a photography studio, or a collection of World War II-era technology.
It is in good vintage condition( it has marks, wear and color loss consistent with its age and history, Please check all pictures for more details).
