Fabulous vintage Modern to Postmodern very low slung sofa or loveseat & chair fully upholstered in a burnt orange velvet … Read more Fabulous vintage Modern to Postmodern very low slung sofa or loveseat & chair fully upholstered in a burnt orange velvet fabric with rolled-barrel shaped ruched backs & arms, loose zippered foam seat cushions, semi-attached foam back cushions with button detail, & a decorative aluminum base strip with large nail head details on plinth style bases by Padgett Furniture MFG. CO, Inc. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, these pieces will need to be reupholstered (unless you like distressing) as they are very worn in the rushed areas, on the buttons, & there is a bleach spot on the chair. ORANGE these pieces FABULOUS? I mean… Like, Burnt-Orange, FIRE BURNING HOT?? Can we just say… OUCH!!! Well folks, we certainly think so!!! This is a unique set by Padgett Furniture MFG. CO, Inc. including a small sofa or loveseat & a side or accent lounge chair both composed of VERY low slung frames fully upholstered in a burnt orange velvet fabric with rolled-barrel shaped ruched backs & arms, loose zippered foam seat cushions, semi-attached foam back cushions with button detail, & plinth style bases with a decorative aluminum base front strip bearing large nail head details. We searched the worldwide web until our eyeballs ached to find any information to give regarding Padgett Furniture MFG. CO, Inc. but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. What we DO know is that the company was in Calhoun, Tennessee, but has since closed, and that this set is AWESOME!!! So… a sad but undeniable fact is that these beauties will need to be reupholstered. UNLESS… you love a VERY shabby chic… but very worn & really distressed look. They have been well-loved in their time as there is significant wear withing the ruching, a few of the buttons show some rubbing (a.k.a. bald spots), and there is a bleached-out spot on the back of the chair. As we said, it’s seen better days… HOWEVER, we never look at reupholstering as a bad thing!! Just THINK of all the incredible fabric options there are!!! Limitless colors, textures, and possibilities to EXACTLY create the look you want for your space!! They are Modern to Postmodern and a little bit Space-Age in style but they also have a hint of an Italian flair (Oh… LA, LA!!) and they are sure to be FANTASTIC in any room you choose whether in the sitting room in front of a lovely picture window, in your living or family room facing that wonderful coffee table, or in the study flanking the fireplace! Are you still thinking about it?? Do not let your hesitation BURN a hole in your pocket!! You know you love this STEAMING HOT seating set! So just do it! Make them YOURS!!!
