Modernist Ceramic Sculpture of a Female Figure
Europe | Mid–Late 20th Century
Expressive modernist ceramic sculpture depicting a standing female figure, executed in white glazed ceramic. The sculpture is defined by exaggerated, rounded volumes and simplified anatomical features, giving it a strong sculptural presence and a distinctly modern aesthetic.
The upward gaze and solid stance convey calm monumentality, while the smooth, matte-to-satin ceramic surface allows light to softly articulate the curves and mass of the figure. Despite its compact scale, the piece has a commanding visual impact.
The sculpture is presented without artist attribution and should be appreciated as an independent example of 20th-century figurative ceramic design rather than as the work of a named sculptor.
Well suited as a decorative statement object for a curated interior, bookshelf, or console.
