BERCY JAZZ NON STOP 1984 BY Michel BOUVET original printing from 1984
In 1984, Michel Bouvet designed the “Bercy Jazz Non Stop” poster for the 5th Annual Bercy Jazz Festival in Paris. The artwork shows a surreal image of an oversized trumpet floating down the Seine River. This perfectly capturing the festival’s vibrant energy.
The event featured renowned performers, including Bobby McFerrin, the Gil Evans Big Band, and the Miles Davis Septet. The poster printing technique was serigraphy by Imprimerie Champlan in Paris. This type of printing allowed for more control over the artistic colors and quality of the poster.
