A fine early 19th century Louis XV style French marquetry chiffonier, or tall gentleman's chest. Expertly crafted with inlaid veneers of walnut and mahogany and various exotic woods. Oak as a secondary wood. Finish retains a nice luster. Six dovetailed drawers, each with original cast brass ring pulls and escutcheons and one key. Some locks are not in working order. Original 1.5" thick St. Anne grey marble top. A handsome antique chest of great quality. Minor veneer losses and repairs. Circa 1800-1840.
