Dimensions: height 48.5 cm, width 169.5 cm, depth 3 cm.

A yoko-gaku is a horizontal panel traditionally meant to be displayed prominently in a reception room or used as an accent in a tokonoma-like setting. The work is signed in calligraphy at the lower right and bears a red hanko seal.

Condition: the painting itself is in good, well-preserved condition. There are visible, normal signs of age and use that can also be seen in the photos (including light wear, small spots, and superficial marks), consistent with age and previous hanging.

Thanks to its panoramic format, this piece works particularly well above a low cabinet, sofa, or long dining table. The warm palette and gold-speckled mat bring a rich glow, while the subject remains graphic enough for a clean Japandi, wabi-sabi, or eclectic interior. See less
