Excellent meissen porcelain figurine: acrobat with highly coiffed curls and feather headdress, wearing a skin-tight full-body costume with turquoise blue and pink stripes and a high white collar that transitions into an extra-long jagged train in yellow at the back, balancing upright on a large purple ball with golden stars on a slanted base, her arms stretched out away from her body, each circling three coloured hoops. A series of circus figures by peter strang, the long-standing chief sculptor at the meissen manufactory, are an extraordinary homage to the colourful world of acrobats and magicians, full of movement and humour, handmade unique pieces with loving details, artfully painted.
