The desk is constructed from mahogany and features a decorative gothic tracery on the front of the three storage drawers. The veneered fronts have a geometric design with Moorish or Arabesque fretwork centered by brass lion's head pulls. The large rectangular top showcases the fine flowing mahogany grain patterns. The case is supported by thick square legs ending with block feet. The mid-century desk has a lovely aged patina with subtle color variation and fading from exposure as seen in photos. The desk measures 23.5 inches from the floor to the apron. Opulent style with sturdy and strong construction having excellent joinery and craftsmanship.
