This extraordinary table lamp in a striking pop art style depicts the abstract form of a toucan and is a typical design object of the 1980s. Attributed to h. T. Huang, the design combines playful forms with functional lighting. The curved body, made of colored plastic, forms the bird's body, while the projecting beak serves as the light arm, emitting a warm, diffused light. Inside, a neon tube, included with the lamp, creates the characteristic, slightly orange-tinted light effect.
