Inside there is a lift-up gold tooled black leather writing surface. It features a secret compartment which opens by pulling up the side of one of the ink well side panels to allow access to secret drawers. The side carrying handles fold flat within the sides of the box in true campaign style. It is complete with two glass ink wells with silver plated screw tops and pen tray. Complete with original working lock and key. There is no mistaking its unique quality and design, which is sure to make it a treasured piece by any discerning collector.
