Handcrafted in southern Morocco, this Tamegroute ceramic candlestick reflects the raw, expressive character of a centuries-old pottery tradition. Shaped entirely by hand and finished with a distinctive ochre glaze, its surface reveals organic variations, depth, and subtle imperfections that are intrinsic to authentic Tamegroute craftsmanship.
Traditionally fired in wood-burning kilns, Tamegroute ceramics are valued for their earthy tones, tactile textures, and sculptural presence. The elongated, column-like form brings a strong vertical rhythm, offering a refined balance between rustic authenticity and contemporary design.
Used as a functional candlestick or displayed as a sculptural object, this piece adds warmth, character, and a quiet sense of heritage to both modern and eclectic interiors.

• Technique: Handcrafted

Crafted in the historic village of Tamegroute in Morocco’s Draa Valley, these ceramics come from a rare, family-held tradition preserved by only a small number of workshops. Shaped by hand from local clay and fired in traditional wood-fueled kilns, each piece develops its surface through mineral-rich glaze, ash, heat, and shifting kiln atmosphere.
Subtle differences in firing conditions and even placement inside the kiln create the signature earthy greens and raw tonal variations Tamegroute is known for. No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
