In the same sleek and functional Bauhaus style, Mücke-Melder produced tables , desks , and casegoods , as well as some licensed updates of Thonet designs, often favoring tubular steel and finishes of copper, nickel, and chrome. An emblematic selection of Mücke-Melder’s oeuvre includes the chrome-plated tubular steel FN 21 Famos Armchair (1930), which owes its form, unmistakably, to Mies van der Rohe’s iconic cantilevered Brno Chair, designed ca. 1929-1930 for his nearby and renowned Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic. Condition Report Fully restored with new upholstery, chrome is in good condition with only minor cosmetic wear. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
