Marcel Breuer was a German-American architect of Austro-Hungarian origin. He taught at the Bauhaus in Dessau and is considered the inventor of modern tubular steel. The "B9" stool, dating from around 1925, was among Breuer's earliest designs. It can be used as a small side table or as a practical stool. Our example comes from the Arnold Bauhaus Collection by the German manufacturer L&C Stendal. It was likely produced in the 1990s. Very good quality. It features a polished chrome-plated tubular steel frame and a black lacquered solid wood top. The wood grain is clearly visible. It is in impeccable condition with minimal signs of wear. Height: 45 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
