Founded in 1928 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, by Peter Anderson with support from his parents, Shearwater Pottery is a renowned family-operated studio producing unique, high-grade hard-fired earthenware, figurines, and decorative tiles. It is famous for integrating functional, hand-thrown pottery by Peter with decorative designs by his brothers, Walter Inglis Anderson and Mac Anderson, often featuring coastal, flora, and fauna themes.
