The top retains an original distressed finish with repaired cracks and visible remnants of earlier brick red and gray crackling paint. The body was painted and later scraped at a subsequent time, resulting in a soft whitewashed appearance with natural pine visible beneath.
Each drawer is fitted with two hanging brass pulls and decorative key escutcheons; there is no functioning lock or key. Interior drawer bottoms show minor age-related separation, and the bottom drawer has two small holes where old wood knots have fallen out. Typical age-related cracks and distress are visible along the sides and front. Feet show additional wear and minor loss. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use.
