Up for sale is a very high quality and gigantic handmade antique 19th century wooden silverware box designed for storing flatware, knives, and cutlery. The box is completely crafted by hand out of wood, has exquisite bronze handles and medallion at the top, and has acquired a wonderful patina from age. The high relief medallion is engraved by hand reading "Hannah Ross Hurley, Philadelphia, PA".
It features a large hinged lid and two pull out drawers. With its large size and unique design, this box would make a charming display piece for home or industrial space. It is in good condition and measures 26 inches long by 20 1/2 inches back to front by 17 inches tall. There is one hairline crack on the top and some ware to the bottom drawers interior as shown in photos.
