The elephant stands proudly on a carved wood base, adding warmth and presence to its sculptural silhouette.

The body is decorated with classic Satsuma motifs including floral panels, geometric window designs, and intricate dot work throughout. The lamp is marked Made in Japan on the underside of the wood base, confirming post-war Japanese export production.
