A striking vintage Longwy enamel plate featuring the rare “Chevreuse” décor designed by Maurice‑Paul Chevallier.
Executed in raised polychrome enamels with gilded accents on a rich turquoise ground, this large Forme 1643 plate exemplifies the high decorative quality of Longwy production in the early 1950s. The ornamental, Moorish‑influenced motifs and natural craquelure give the piece exceptional visual depth.
The reverse is stamped Émaux de Longwy Chevreuse, marked Forme 1643, and retains an old collector’s label dated 1952.
