Rare set of four benches with chest-like seats made of painted chestnut wood.
Typical of Italian craftsmanship, these "cassapanche" benches were found in the entrance halls of castles and grand residences, as was the case with this set.
The benches are painted in various shades of gray, enhanced by a decoration of garlands of golden-yellow leaves, some more visible than others.
The benches are sold as is, with wear, missing pieces, and cracks.
