A vintage Turkish Sivas rug from the mid-20th century. This eastern Turkish city rug mixes the St. Andrew’s cross design of Zeychur Kuba Caucasian rugs with palmettes more in the Persian style on a pale green and blue ground. The broad “dragons” of the border are the weaver’s own creations, however.
