This early 20th-century Persian Serab runner presents a finely organized tribal composition across a warm camel and soft rust field. A sequence of elongated diamond-shaped compartments runs along the center, each filled with angular floral forms, hooked devices, and compact geometric motifs in muted blue, ivory, red, brown, and pale beige. Strong diagonal lines and repeating stepped outlines create a steady visual rhythm throughout the long, narrow format. Smaller floral and abstract elements appear between the larger compartments, adding detail without disrupting the overall structure. Multiple borders frame the field, including narrow bands of repeating diamonds, geometric ornaments, and stylized floral motifs that provide contrast and definition. Characteristic of Serab weaving, the runner combines disciplined geometry, warm earth tones, and village-inspired ornament. Its elongated proportions make it especially suitable for hallways, galleries, bedroom passages, or other narrow transitional spaces.
