An antique Indian Cotton Agra carpet. The light yellow field of this northern Indian workshop rug displays two interlocking twelve lobe medallions in the “Saracenic” Arab style with partial medallions set in the corners. It resembles medieval Arab inlaid wooden doors and decorative architectural plasterwork. The light blue border displays tall, slender palmettes and a double connecting vine. A very attractive rug with a great design pedigree.
