Rare and discontinued large size Fornasetti style perpetual face vase by The Museum Store (TMS) 2005.
This piece, made of a proprietary ceramic/resin composite, is part of TMS' highly sought after Vitruvian Collection that later inspired Jonathan Adler. It’s finished in a subtle, matte-black micro crackle.
Stunning and substantial (weighing over 6.5 lbs) but visually refined, it’s the perfect blend of classical and modern, and makes an eye-catching focal centerpiece for a coffee table, dining table or bookshelf.
TMS’ Vitrivian collection, consisting of 20 or so sculptural art pieces, was released in very limited quantities with each design available for only a few months.
The entire collection began in 2004 and was discontinued in 2009
They are highly collectible in the USA and internationally, and have fetched impressive prices at auction.
The perpetual designs; faces, lips, breasts, fingers and hands, are the most coveted pieces.
