Immense proportions make this a lamp ideal for larger spaces and galleries. Our restoration and attention to the electrics has made this much loved lamp a lot easier to quickly install upon arrival than normal and takes now only 10 mins rather than 3 hours with electrical cables needing to be installed through the pipe stems no longer required. This is known as the Focus lamp and measures 90" tall, 86" wide with a clearance of 50" beneath the 14" diameter sphere. The arm rotates on the vertical stem giving this lamp a circle of about 160" and does something an Arco Lamp can not do. The orb has 2 sections one acrylic lens which refracts light in multiple directions and within the white section is a huge concave steel mirror that reflects the light around. The orb can rotate on the bent steel stem in any direction and 4 washers are present so it rolls securely and can act as a wall washer in place of a sconce. It can even provide illumination to the ceiling or hanging sculptures. The lamp socket is rated for 500 watts. The steel has been polished and sealed and the base has had minor repairs to it and has been repainted. It has been repainted in a color match purposefully slightly brighter and an off-shade to the sphere so as it ages it will be precisely the same color. It is very heavy and will require 2 people to move the lamp around, the base weighs at least 75 pounds and has a steel ingot within. The base dome measures 15" across. Beyond a few marks to the acrylic lens, and some patina to interior diffuser, there are no condition issues. It has a foot on off switch and a 15 foot cord. See less
