It harks back to an English artist by whom another English farm scene is known. In this flat, verdant landscape, a stream flows in the foreground, crossed by a small stone bridge over which some cows, followed by the shepherd boy, are walking. On the left, emerging from behind the treetops, stands a tall Gothic-style building with tall windows, likely a country church. The work is presented in a contemporary frame, which requires restoration. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
