Featuring two platters and ten plates, each piece is richly molded with sculptural fruit and foliage—grapes, pears, peaches, strawberries, and cherries—glazed in saturated jewel tones against a warm yellow ground. Majolica fruit sets like this were designed for the grand finale of the meal: the dessert and fruit course, served with drama and delight.
