~ This beautiful and striking set features one of the more sought after patterns from the barware created by Dorothy Thorpe as it was not a prolifically produced as the other patterns and very few pieces survived the years. The ice bucket/Bottle Chiller can also be used as a party snack bowl. What makes this set even more of a rarity is that many of the pieces that have indeed survived have also been aggressively/tragically scrubbed clean of their gold leafing. The "Atomic Splash" truly evokes a scientific and interstellar fascination that was at it's peak in the mid-century.
