The vase … Read more This is a rather large hand painted and hand decorated vase marked Imperial Nippon. The mark is shown. The vase is white with a white floral design with gold beaded trim and a large gold section at the top with raised gold trim. In addition, there are two purple sections on either side of the flowers. The vase is round with a wider base and slightly wider top edge.

The vase measures 7.00 inches across the bottom, 3.50 inches wide in the middle and 4.75 inches wide just under the rim. The rim is just short of 4.00 inches wide. The vase is 12.00 inches tall. Weight before shipping is just over four pounds. This is a bigger, heavier vase.

There is some wear to the gold that I have shown from two angles. The top rim looks like it might have once been painted gold, but most of the gold is gone. The other floral design of peach and green is smaller and does appear to be hand painted (picture 4).

The vase has no chips, cracks, crazing, or other damage. The inside is clean and it is large enough to hold a substantial floral arrangement or to be displayed on it’s own.
